Works Proposed
We are currently spraying bracken on some parts of the common using Asulam (brand name Asulox). Asulam is not harmful to animals or pets, but you are advised to keep your dog on a lead in the treatment area whilst the operatives are spraying.
Tick bites and Lyme Disease
We have been advised by the Environmental Health Officer at Woking Borough Council that a walker on the common has contracted Lyme Disease after being bitten by a Deer Tick. More information on Lyme Disease and prevention can be found on this leaflet Lyme Disease.
