Winter Conservation Volunteer Working Parties 2010/11
Join us on a Sunday morning for a healthy work-out with 3 hours of Scrub Bashing on heathland. All working parties will run from 10.00 to 13.00. The meeting place for all events will be in the old car park at Anthonys, which is off the A320 opposite Sands Public House. Take the main entrance to Anthonys. The old car park is straight in front of you through the green gate. OS grid reference TQ 015610.
The activity is to remove scrub, mainly small birch and pine saplings from areas of heathland. Loppers and bow saws will be provided; volunteers should wear sturdy footwear with good grip and a good pair of gardening gloves or similar.
